The emblem of the Great Crown (Maha Mongkut), the royal seal of King Rama IV, was kindly granted to the University by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
Vermilion, a vivid reddish-orange color, was the color of Siam's King Rama IV, and thus it has been adopted as KMUTNB’s color.
The Tree of KMUTNB
‘Red Pradoo’, a strong vascular plant in Thailand growing to about 80 feet high and yielding a bright yellow-red to dark-brick red color, is the symbolic tree of the University. The orange-vermilion flowers are annually in full bloom in February, commemorating the period of KMUTNB’s establishment on the 19th of February.
