The College of Industrial Technology, or CIT is considered as a faculty of the King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), which was established in 1959 from the constructive cooperation between the Thai Government and the Federal Republic of Germany. The college is currently offering a variety of programs ranging from the Pre-engineering technical certificate level to graduate studies. The college is extremely remarkable in terms of its theoritical and practical education programs for producing engineers in specialised areas resembling the educational model of German universities. The college consists of 10 departments including the Thai-German Pre-Engineering school that is the first and only one in Thailand and offers programs for technical certificates in several engineering disciplines in congruence with that of the German educational system in which the practice is emphasized. CIT arranges teaching and learning as well as develops research studies in graduate and undergraduate levels to reach international standards. This has been implemented through cooperation with a number of well-known universities in different countries.
