Department of Technical Education Management

The Department of Technical Education Management (DTEM) was established due to the Faculty of Technical Education’s (FTE) development and extension of education plan for the duration of the 6th Higher Education Development Plan (1987-1991). The Master Degree Program in Vocational and Technical Education Management was first opened in 1987. The Doctoral Degree Program in Research and Curriculum Development was opened thereafter in 1991, followed by the Doctoral Degree Program in Technical and Vocational Education Management Program in 1997.  Later, in 2008, the doctoral curriculum has been updated to the Doctor of Philosophy Program in Vocational and Technical Education Management to include two academic disciplines: the Curriculum Research and Development and the Vocational and Technical Education Management. The TEM department has proceeded with several projects for educational administrators and academic staff for both lecturers and support teams in public and private institutions regarding vocational and technical management in institutes and workplaces. The department upholds all activities according to the philosophy, vision, and mission of the university and the faculty.

In 2011, the TEM department revised all programs to align with the 2012 Thai Qualifications Framework for Higher Education (TQF). These programs included the Master Degree Program in Technical and Vocational Education Management, the Doctor of Philosophy Program in Vocational and Technical Education Management in both Curriculum Research and Development, and Vocational and Technical Education Management disciplines. The department has accepted students and conducted the approved programs since 2012.

In 2017, the TEM department once again revised the two study programs in order to fulfill the TQF benchmark. Since 2017, it has accepted students and conducted the latest programs.
