The Department of Industry Business and Trade has been established since 2016. The Department of industry Business and Trade is providing the academic tutelage under the Faculty of Business Administration and Service Industry of King Mongkut University of Technology of North Bangkok at Prachinburi campus for a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, majoring in Business Administration for industry and trade. Before the establishment of the department IBT used to be recognized as one of the sections under the department of Industrial Management for the Bachelor course in Industrial degrees, operated under the faculty of Technology and Industrial Management. 
       King Mongkut University of Technology of North Bangkok has decided to expand the courses provided at King Mongkut University of Technology of North Bangkok at Prachinburi campus. Therefore the University has made the decision to establish a new faculty. In order to provide the business course in Industry Business and Trade at a  later period of development planning for higher education issued 11 (2012-2016) and earlier period of development planning for higher education issued (2017-2021). The University has considered the business administration section to be promoted to the status of department, which previously was the section handling the Industry Business and Trade courses.           
Department of  Industry Business and Trade course is aiming for creating  scholars who are equipped with the  knowledge and abilities, in order to be competitive in the  industrial field and other commerce that support the industry field such as management marketing and monitoring business systems of  industry, production management, human resource management, international business management, accounting and finance.
